We’d love to walk with your children as they discover God! Children are a special part of the life and ministry of First Baptist Jasper because they add a sense of excitement and curiosity to our worship and to our understanding of God. If you have children, we’d love to walk with them as they discover God.
Through our Children’s Ministry, we offer a variety of programs and activities for children, from birth to sixth grade. These programs give children the opportunity to hear the stories of our faith as they learn about God’s love. They also have opportunities to learn age-appropriate lessons about what God is doing in the world around them and how God invites us to be active participants in this work by sharing God’s love as we meet the needs in our local and global community.
Please review the programs and activities we offer for children at First Baptist Jasper. We hope that your child will come join us during this exciting time in the life of our church and Children’s Ministry.

We have classes available for children and preschoolers at 9:45. If you enter the Welcome Center, someone will direct you to the correct classroom. Following Sunday School, we ask that you pick up your children (ages 3k and older) and go to worship together. Our classes are broken into the following age groups:
Nursery (Birth – 2 years)
4k – Kindergarten
1st – 3rd Grades
4th – 6th Grades
Worship is held in the sanctuary every Sunday morning at 11:00. The children’s sermon is a regular part of worship. All children are invited to come down to the front steps of the sanctuary and join the minister for the children’s sermon. Worship guides for children (ages 7-12) are also available in the narthex.
Children’s Church is for children ages three through Kindergarten. You will see instructions printed in the worship guide for children to come forward during the Doxology. Each week two volunteer leaders will meet the children at the door by the organ and lead them to a classroom in the Welcome Center for a brief Bible lesson and activity. After worship, you can meet your child in the Welcome Center in Room E106.
The nursery is located in room 110, downstairs in the Welcome Center, and is available for infants through two-year-olds during Sunday morning and Wednesday evening activities. Pagers are available for your peace of mind and are assigned to parents so the nursery workers can page you if an urgent situation occurs.
